Bayside Marin is a residential addiction treatment center that sponsors its own model of treatment that incorporates a variety of techniques and strategies. The Bayside Marin model includes six phases. Phase 1 focuses on incentive, and discusses the reasons why sobriety is important and key to healthy living. Phase 2 graduates to awareness, and introduces the client to their own addiction. Phase 3 focuses on support, and helps each client identify and develop a support system.
Phase 4 centers on vigilance, and helps each client discover the triggers that are likely to lead to relapse. Phase 5 focuses on preparation for life outside of the center, and includes plans for a successful relapse prevention program. The final phase – Phase 6 – is accountability, and is designed to be ongoing for three years following discharge.
The treatment program at Bayside Marin is structured and includes a pre-scheduled program design that incorporates various emotional, physical, and mental therapies. Group therapy and individual counseling are highlighted, as well as other forms of recreation and holistic therapy. An ongoing aftercare follow-up program is included with the successful completion of the Bayside Marin program, and includes monthly follow-up check-ins to assist in preventing relapse.
