Located in the deserts of Arizona, the Desert Canyon Treatment Center is a small substance abuse rehabilitation facility that offers services and programs to assist those struggling with addictions to alcohol, drugs, and other controlled substances. The standard program at Desert Canyon lasts 30 days, though longer stays are available for individuals who require long-term care.

The small center has limited space, and operates in a group home setting. The treatment program combines many methods, including a 12-step program, medical assessment, individual counseling, group therapy, and other methods to aid in recovery. Other therapeutic activities include hikes through the red rock canyons of Arizona, personal massage, Native American “sweatlodge” ceremonies, physical fitness, and more.

Graduates of the Desert Canyon Treatment Center are encouraged to participate in post-release support, which includes weekly meetings and teleconferencing for those who do not live in the immediate area.

Special Interest: Clients of Desert Canyon Treatment Center earn pass privileges to leave the facility. Unlike some traditional hospital settings, the Desert Canyon Treatment Center is not a lock-down facility, and clients do have a certain amount of freedom off-campus.
