The Hanley Center operates on a multi-disciplinary approach to recovery from alcohol and drug addiction and abuse. The maintains two main adult programs – the Center for Women’s Recovery and the Center for Men’s Recovery – as well as the Center for Older Adult Recovery.
Professionals who understand the specific needs and issues of each group operate each individual center. In addition, special programs, group sessions, and therapy methods are designed specifically for the women, men, and older adult groups in each center.
In addition to individual therapy, group counseling, and peer support groups, other forms of therapy are utilized as part of the Hanley Center treatment program. These include pet therapy, music therapy, art therapy, fitness programs, team sports activities, and many others.
Special Interest: The Hanley Center maintains a special center for men and women over the age of 55. The Center for Older Adult Recovery address the special needs of older adults, and includes slower transitions between treatment stages, special nutritional selections, accommodations for those with reduced mental clarity, hearing impairment, and speech impairments, and a comfortable recovery environment with peers.
