Malibu Horizons is a residential treatment facility located in Los Angeles. Treatment for alcohol abuse and drug addiction is available for virtually all street drugs and prescription painkillers. Medically supervised detoxification is available at the center to ensure a comfortable transition to chemical-free living.
Upon admission, all clients are subject to a complete medical and psychological assessment. The initial assessment will be used to determine the customized treatment track that will be implemented for each client. Available treatment options include cognitive behavioral treatment, motivational enhancement, individual counseling, group therapy, family therapy sessions, and other treatment options. The psychiatric and clinical staff can treat co-occurring disorders.
Opportunities for recreation and fitness include yoga, art therapy, music therapy, and walks along the beaches of Southern California. Equine therapy and nutritional assessments and education are available as well.
Special Interest: Malibu Horizon specializes in dual diagnosis, and recognizes that many addictions and substance abuse tendencies coincide with psychological disorders including bipolar disorder, ADHD, depression, and others. Medical and psychiatric treatment services are available to complement specific treatment for addictions and substance abuse.
