Located in Long Beach, California, New Found Life offers residential treatment options for adult men and women. Residents here will be introduced to a full psychiatric treatment with follow up services, as well as individual counseling, group therapy, and recovery study groups. Mandatory attendance at 12 step meetings is required, and ongoing relapse prevention and continuing care programs are also offered.
Other services include a family program, referrals for other problems and issues include eating disorders, anger management, and abuse, independent living skills, stress management, and healthy relationship building.
The facilities include three meals a day, 24-hour supervision in the residential center, on-site laundry facilities, and structured recreation and social activities.
New Found Life also maintains a staff of intervention specialists who are trained in conducting successful, non-threatening intervention services in instances where the potential client’s family and friends feel such services may be warranted.
Special Interest: Specialized groups are available in conjunction with the addiction treatment program, and include assertiveness training, health awareness, motivation, relapse prevention, and standard group counseling sessions.
