Detailed Provider Information
The Retreat program offers treatment and community support programs for those suffering from alcohol and drug addictions. The program is founded on the same 12-step approach used in Alcoholics Anonymous, and depends heavily upon the support of the Retreat community.
Group therapy sessions, study groups, and special lecture series highlight a typical day at the Retreat. The Retreat The standard program lasts approximately 30 days, and is designed to help each client develop a network of healthy relationships and supportive peers, volunteers, and professionals to whom they can turn for assistance. The program is largely grounded in the idea of peer support and community understanding as its underlying theme and treatment approach.
Ongoing alumni support and special events are available upon successful completion of the Retreat program, and are designed to encourage lifelong sobriety and to prevent the chance of relapse.
Special Interest: Long-term transitional residences are available for those who are eligible and who require additional assistance preparing for a sober, independent life. These individuals must be employed full-time during their stay at the Retreat long-term residences, and must meet other requirements, including attending mandatory meetings and performing weekly volunteer service.
